Same story, different berry

Don’t let the title fool you.  We’re not bored with berry picking in the least.  I like to toss a handful of blueberries in my green smoothie every morning, so I need to stock up.  We only got 5lbs this time  – not for lack of berries, but the task of herding children [...]

Museum of Printing History

Today we took a little field trip.

The main exhibit I wanted to see was the world’s largest book.  The following is copied from the museum’s website, bolding emphasis is mine.

“In conjunction with FotoFest 2010, the Museum of Printing History is pleased to present Bhutan: A Visual Odyssey Across the Last Himalayan Kingdom, to [...]

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Healing

I will admit that I haven’t had much time for television and haven’t been ready to fully look into the tragedy that is Haiti right now.  I’ve been taking in bits and pieces from other bloggers and what they are sharing is all that I can handle for now.  I do want to share one [...]

Nature hunt

We finally made it to the park today.  The weather was absolutely perfect for our second day of the season.  We met up with some friends and had a little nature hunt.  The boys chased squirrels, hugged trees, and even did a bit of leaf rubbings.

A few FO’s

How time flies!  We’ve been keeping quite busy during these hot months.  It seems to take extra work to tire out Sprout since we can’t spend as much time as we’d like outside due to the heat.  We’re all doing well, though, and that’s what really matters.

In the meantime, I’ve finished a few projects:

Sick, busy, & a giveaway!

We were sick over the past weekend and during the beginning of this week.  Well, Sprout never got sick, the rest of us did.  My mom came to save the day and helped us out Monday – Thursday while my husband was out of town.  We were over our illness pretty well by [...]

Baby moments

My New  Year’s Day baby is 5 months old today.  He can’t talk or crawl.  He can’t really sit up, yet.  He’s rolled over once and only once.

But, he does smile – a ton.  He laughs and giggles a lot.  He squeals with laughter while his brother dances and jumps all around him.

When I lay [...]

Oh, frog pond…

… you’re always there waiting for me. It doesn’t matter how far along I get on a project or how much I can taste the end, you will always be there waiting patiently.

I was about 50% into a hat that I’m working on for Oliver and while it should be a very simple, straightforward [...]
