… you’re always there waiting for me. It doesn’t matter how far along I get on a project or how much I can taste the end, you will always be there waiting patiently. I was about 50% into a hat that I’m working on for Oliver and while it should be a very simple, straightforward [...] I’ve been plugging away at old projects and adding in some new ones. These past few weeks we’ve been working on stepping stones for lots of family members – including one for our very own family. Let me tell you. It is hard work getting 2 children to put their little piggies in veg. oil [...] Marketing aimed at children really bothers me, even more so now that I have children of my own. I’ll let you do your own research with the insane amounts of advertising that kids are exposed to by the age of four, but you can trust that I am doing my best to curb that number [...] I finally put Oliver down long enough to give him time to roll over. He’s always been quite mobile, for not actually rolling or crawling, when I set him down. This kid loves to kick his legs and especially loves to wind up his right leg by kicking it out and bringing it back in [...] It’s really hard to pick just one photo from today, but I’ll give it a go:
Alma, Calvin, Katherine, Aidan (not pictured: me wearing Oliver while taking this photo;) This morning I called Alma up and had her come over with her little ones to have breakfast with us. I [...] This morning we got up and out of the house earlier than we had ever been in a long time: 9:26AM. I couldn’t believe it. Part of it was that the babe and I were up early while the toddler slept. He had gotten up before his dad this morning, and decided to stay up [...] Working on that craftsplosion list as I can while taking care of the kids and trying to keep up with the house. We’ve got a lot going on at the moment – lots of playgroups and starting a homeschool group for the summer, but I will find time to craft! I ordered my fabrics for the [...] Whew! We had quite the busy day today. I don’t think I have the energy left to say too much in words, but here’s the jest of it in a pictoral: We started off at our local waldorf school to celebrate May Day. We made flower wreaths (which Aidan wouldn’t wear, but I did) and danced [...] |
