This past week I’ve been quite the busy bee. I’ve spent much of my time making sure that my two sweet boys would have everything they needed to be the best little gnome and best little mushroom that they could possibly be. This meant lots of brainstorming and sewing and leaning over a pattern looking [...] The weather is absolutely gorgeous today, thanks to a cool front that slipped in yesterday evening. The sun is shining and warming everything up quickly, but it’s still so nice. We started the day with a fairly small Nia Tots class, but that just meant more room to run, jump, dance, crawl, and roll about. [...] This past weekend was a busy one. Friday we had met with other waldorf families in our area for a harvest celebration at the orchard. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect – just enough sun to make everything glow with those beautiful autumn hues and just enough of a chill in the air to [...] I’ll admit it. Growing up my main fruits were oranges, apples, bananas, watermelon, strawberries, grapes, bananas – you know the lot, nothing overly exotic or outside of what you would see in an average children’s book about common fruits. Imagine my surprise when I finally bit into the most humble-looking fruit I’ve ever seen. Persimmons [...] Well, the fall weather came and went and finally showed back up for a few hours this weekend. We enjoyed as much of the cooler weather as we could despite the rain. The mosquitoes reared their ugly heads today, though, so we didn’t stay out as long as we would have liked. I even let [...] An evening of celebration over wine with a dear friend for her birthday… We finally got that recent photo that we wanted.

Of course, this may not have been possible without Grandmou in town to help with the boys. She also crocheted [...] Today, my sweet baby that I swear was just born a few weeks ago, is nine full months old. It’s bittersweet for sure. Going back to nine days before he made this accomplishment, he took his first steps. I couldn’t (and still can’t) believe it. He’s growing up so very fast. It just feels unfair. [...] |
