When I have said my evening prayer,
And my clothes are folded on the chair,
And mother switches off the light,
I’ll still be 1 year old tonight.
But from the very break of day,
Before the children rise and play,
Before the darkness turns to gold,
Tomorrow, I’ll be 2 years old.
2 kisses when I wake,
2 candles on my cake.
I am so excited about Sprout’s birthday this year. He seems to be getting a grasp that he has a special day coming up. He’s been saying, “happy birthday” and trying to show us two fingers while he says ‘twooo’ when asked how old he’ll be. In the morning, we are going to get up before his dad goes to work and all have some birthday time together. We’re going to let him open his gift and give him plenty of birthday hugs and kisses. I guess you’ll have to wait and see what it is after Sprout finds out. I wouldn’t want anyone to ruin the surprise.
Happy birthday my sweet baby boy. I love you more than you can ever imagine. I am so proud to be your mama.

I am proud of both of you too. Thanks for giving me the chance to show him how much he
is loved by both me & his Grandpa. We really enjoyed his birthday & spending time with him.
