This year we checked out Blackberries of Houston. These bushes weren’t super tall, but still tall enough that I didn’t have to bend over much if I didn’t want to. There bushes, however, were thornless! It was great to not have to strategically plan my every pick. We will definitely be going back.
The kids got into it a lot more this year. Ollie was too young last year, but he started picking berries the minute I took him out of the carrier today. Aidan picked a few berries, then he realized that I had veggie chips in my bag and it was all over with. Neither of the boys are really blackberry fans, but that’s ok. They had fun running around and enjoying time with friends.
