It’s crunch time, isn’t it? The time of year that all the crafters I know are staying up late working on top secret projects. I have been quite busy since I haven’t been in this space much.
I didn’t get around to making any handmade gifts for the boys to find under the tree this year. I don’t feel all that bad about it, though, since I did complete a sweater for each of them to enjoy throughout our cooler weather. Our school had a booth at a craft fair, so I got my needles moving to create hats for that. I’ve also been busy knitting a sweater and hat for a very special little girl that is due to be born sometime in the next week or so. Now, it’s finally time to move on to something that I would like my husband to find under the tree, but I’m fairly certain that it won’t be finished in time. Ah, well. I think he will find joy in finally seeing it on my needles.
Beyond that, I’ve been busy planning a very special birthday for a very special, soon to be two year old. I’ve got quite the ‘to make’ and ‘to do’ list for that one, but somehow it will all get done in time. Let’s hope!
Finally, I am very excited to announce that I have a little part time gig over at the boys’ school. The rest of this year, regardless of how short that time may be, I will be finding time to focus on our lovely little parent child class so that I may create a loving, inviting, calm space for our littlest ones to explore and learn. It is such an honor to be a guide to these young ones and their caring families.
I can’t wait to experience all the joy the new year will bring.
Blessings!
