I’m a happily married mother to 2 vegan boys. My boys and I follow a vegan diet, but I’ve let some animal bi-products back into our lives by means of: honey, silk, and wool. I do quite an arrangement of crafts, leaning more towards fiber arts and less to paper ones. I knit, but suck at crochet. I’m finding my way into the world of sewing and quilts. I bake bread from scratch – most of my baking & cooking is from scratch. I do some other crafts here and there as the mood or need strikes.
My husband is a wonderful guy who loves me more than I thought anyone ever could. Our children are two feisty and wonderful boys who keep me in constant motion. Ollie mostly keeps me warm by sitting on me or hanging out in a wrap while I knit or crochet – and sometimes while I sew. Sprout picks up my yarn anytime I drop it and also loves to loop the yarn over the needle for me as I knit. His favorite craft is watercolor painting for now, but he loves to help me ‘cook’ – which usually means baking bread or other yumminess. I can’t wait until he gets his fine motor skills down enough to finger knit or finger weave. I sense the craftiness in him.
My crafty goal for 2010 is to do more chaiity knitting and to finish a real quilt.
